Early Colorectal Cancer Detection
2025 - 2026 — Mathematics and Computational Biology — National Qualifier
applied sheaf cohomology, a framework from algebraic topology, to microbiome network analysis for early-stage colorectal cancer detection. consulted virtually with researchers from the university of rome and from france throughout the study.

Tulong - Emergency Response System
2024 - 2025 — Innovation — 1st Place Regional, National Qualifier
designed and built a city-wide emergency notification platform. a single button sends alerts to everyone within 500 meters and opens a direct live call with the dispatcher. community-driven approach, built entirely in software. first team from our school to reach nationals in nearly a decade.

Filipino Sign Language Real-Time Translator

built a computer vision system that translates filipino sign language into readable text in real time via webcam. designed to enable smooth conversation between deaf individuals and those who do not know fsl.

Content Filtering via Age Detection

my first research experience as part of a team. the concept was using webcam-based age detection to automatically block adult content. we received hard criticism from scientists we reached out to. it was the most useful feedback i have ever gotten and the reason i kept going.
